One of the largest events of the year in the Ukrainian medical community recently took place — the scientific and practical conference Podillya Retina 2026. This event traditionally united leading ophthalmologists, scientists, and developers of medical technologies to discuss the future.
Large-scale discussion panels, interactive retina battles, and world-class master classes created an incredible atmosphere of drive and a shared desire for the development of Ukrainian medicine.
This year, the program was extremely rich, and the experts’ main attention was focused on the following areas:
- Myopia under the Microscope: in-depth discussion of complex retinal pathologies in high-grade myopia and the search for new prognostic markers.
- Digital Imaging and AI: multimodal diagnostics of the posterior segment of the eye (OCT) and the implementation of automated intelligent systems for screening.
- Adaptation to Realities: a separate, extremely important section was dedicated to changes in the principles of treatment and surgery for combat eye trauma in the context of martial law.
We invest our time and resources in current knowledge to bring maximum benefit to patients and partners, staying one step ahead in the era of digital medicine and artificial intelligence.
